About Benji

Benji is super small, fluffy, and cute with a big personality! This confident little boy runs up to you for attention and is happy to be picked up. However, Benji is very sensitive to nervous people and can snap, so he needs a calm, assertive owner who understands when to stop and give him space.

This spirited dog has good energy and walks fast, sniffing about everywhere. He loves going for walks and exploring the world around him. Benji doesn’t like other dogs very much. He likes to growl and bark to announce himself to them! However, he can do leash walks with other dogs.

Benji has been to agility and obedience classes where he showed good potential to learn. He’s food motivated and responds well to training. With consistent practice and someone who understands small breed unpredictable behavior, Benji will make a great pet.

He seems to be a mix of Papillon, Phalene, Chihuahua, and maybe some little Portuguese Podengo. A small dog with a big character!

Benji‘s Story

Benji arrived in October 2021 after being found abandoned on the street. He went to Amigo Fiel as a request from CRAPAA, as they were full at the time.
