About Esperança

Esperança is proof that age is just a number. This spirited older lady has plenty of energy and gets very excited about her walks—she’s actually quite strong on the leash when she can’t wait to get out and explore.

This affectionate girl is lovely with all people, adores cuddles, and will give you sweet little lick kisses. She’s mostly social with other dogs and walks fine with them on leash, though she’s a bit of a boss lady who isn’t used to sharing space or food. She’d be happiest as your only dog.

Esperança has been diagnosed with Cushing’s disease and requires lifetime medication with regular blood tests. With proper management, she has an estimated life expectancy of around three years. While her time will be precious and limited, you have the opportunity to give this wonderful girl the comfortable, loving retirement she deserves.

Esperança was given up by her previous owners who could no longer care for her. Despite this difficult change, she’s remained the sweet, spirited girl she’s always been.
