About Estrelina
Estrelina is a joyous little girl who’s smart, curious, and loves being close to her people. This affectionate dog adores cuddles, sitting on laps, and watching the world go by from a window or veranda. She’s quiet and rarely barks, preferring more polite ways of communicating.
Estrelina walks beautifully on a loose leash and doesn’t chase cats or birds. She’s learning commands in both English and Portuguese and is proving to be a quick learner. She gets along wonderfully with cats and currently lives happily with one in her foster home. However, she’s uncomfortable with big dogs in her space and is very selective about her dog friends. She loves making new human friends and is especially fond of tall young men and teenagers.
This clever girl loves to explore and climb, enjoying long walks and off-leash time at the dog park. She’s not picky about food and is fully house trained, politely asking to go outside. Estrelina doesn’t care much for toys, preferring to play with her people and feline friends instead. She’s not a fan of rain but has figured out how to use her human as shelter!
Estrelina is working on gaining a little weight and getting completely healthy as she prepares for her forever home.
Estrelina‘s Story
Estrelina arrived at the shelter iin December 2024 with another little dog. She was removed from a home where someone thought it was acceptable to attach a length of tree trunk to her collar. Despite this cruel treatment, she’s remained the joyous, loving dog she is.
