About Scott
Scott is a gentle, loyal soul who has proven time and again that trauma doesn’t define who you are. This beautiful pointer-type dog demands attention in the most heart-melting way – putting his paw through his kennel door to tap you on the arm as you walk past. His gorgeous deep eyes tell you everything you need to know about his gentle nature.
Scott spent a few weeks in a foster home and was wonderful with all people, including playing with the children in the family. He’s interested in what’s going on around him and loves to explore, look out the window, and run around the garden. After burning off energy, he likes to cuddle up next to you on the sofa for fuss and hugs.
Scott doesn’t bark a lot and loves walking and exploring. He walks easy and confident on leash and has been on town walks with ease. Here’s what he struggles with: being social with other dogs. He doesn’t like the park with groups of off-leash dogs, but he can walk with other dogs on leash. With certain female dogs, he can be social and playful, though he’s not always sure how to behave and will need extra support around other dogs.
Scott‘s Story
This beautiful dog was left tied to a tree outside the shelter’s door in December 2019. Scott has scars, most likely from other dog bites, and has suffered some unknown trauma. Despite everything that happened to him, he’s remained the most gentle and loyal dog.
Could you be the one to finally give Scott the loving home where he can spend his days exploring, cuddling, and being the devoted companion he’s meant to be?
