Primary Responsibilities: Creating and Implementing Digital and Legal Initiatives

As head of the legal department here at the MGF, I organize our ongoing campaign for legislative reform. This involves assessing current animal rights and welfare legislation in Portugal and petitioning government officials to implement changes and improvements. I also make sure that this information is available through our website in order to keep people informed about how they can help MGF to make a difference in the world.

I am currently studying Zoology at a university in the UK and am fiercely passionate about animal welfare and conservation. Having worked at animal shelters in the past, I came to realise that rescuing and rehoming, although very important, are only effective in the short term. No matter how many animals we successfully rehomed, there were always more needing our help. I became a part of MGF to help make the necessary long-term changes that will prevent the suffering of future generations.

I could not be more proud to be a part of this incredibly motivated team.
