Primary Responsibilities: Portuguese Relations Director
I always wanted to make the difference, be useful in a meaningful way… But it took me a while to find my true calling.
When cats and, later on, dogs came into my life, something changed in me. And when I found Dylan, a lost or abandoned dog in the middle of nowhere, too close to a road, I didn’t think twice: I took him home. But because my own dog didn’t get along with him, he went to a dog rescue shelter, where the turning point took place. I got to know deeply the sad reality of so many animals. Neglected, abandoned, mistreated, forgotten, you name it.
I needed to help them, it was imperative for me. And thus I started working in that shelter, CRAPAA, and stayed for around 5 years, and that’s when I finally felt I was doing something it really matters. Definitely a life changing experience.
Although I am no longer at the shelter, my concern for animals’ welfare is now part of who I am, since there are still so many in need, so I am very glad to be part of this Foundation that has done so much for animals and whose projects aim at helping many more. And thank you for that!
